Camping in the untamable tent madness, rope, strings tripping over

My I am poem

I am from!

I am awesome and free and the only me I am unique
& special every time I blink or wink

I wake up not wanting to leave so warm & comfy
homely and nice where would I be without this.

Always in trouble for being too loud & even
talking to much.

Playing netball, goosebumps running up my legs
can’t open my eyes, centre plays the ball to wing attack
passes it to goal shoot it’s a goal it’s a goal.

The hot summer season at the scorching beach
,jandals off , splash from my bomb into the water
,ice-cream melting down my togs , steaming fish &
chips at the end of the day.

Loving the flag not wanting it to change red, white,
blue is the best it can be.

Traveling to hamilton every holidays to go
help my grandfather and to keep him company.

Playing with my friends everyday at school so fun,
so bright, so boiling and hot.

Family’s down at the beach family beach, sloping
on sunscreen to not become a tomato wet towels
drying in the sun chilly bin full at the start of the day but by the end
so empty and not even a crumb to spare.
